Privacy Policy

Meydança is a mobile app for finding and booking football pitches and connecting players with venue owners. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the app and website, how we use it, and your rights.

By downloading or using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to provide the service:

Account information: your phone number, name, and account type (player or venue owner).
Venue information (for owners): venue name, address, photos, prices, and opening hours.
Booking data: the date, time, duration and price you select, plus your booking history.
Messages: your conversations with venues and support chat.
Reviews and ratings: only for venues you have actually played at.
Game listings: listings you post or respond to.
Device and notification data: a device token for push notifications and basic technical logs.
Payment data: payment status, order ID and amount. We do not store your card details (see below).

2. How we use information

To create, confirm and manage bookings.
To enable connections and messaging between players and venues.
To send notifications about confirmations, reminders and responses to listings.
To process venue owner payments (commission, Premium subscription, promotion).
To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
To improve the service and provide support.

3. Payments

Venue owner payments (commission, Premium subscription and promotion) are processed by Payriff, a licensed payment provider. Your card details are handled securely by Payriff directly; we never see or store your card number. We only store the payment result (success/failure), the order ID and the amount.

For players, the pitch fee is currently paid in cash at the venue unless stated otherwise.

4. Sharing information

We do not sell your data. We share it only in these cases:

When you book, the venue owner sees your name, phone number and booking details to manage the booking.
With service providers: hosting and database (Supabase), push notifications (Expo), and payments (Payriff).
With authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service. After you delete your account we delete or anonymise your data, except where we must retain it for legal obligations (e.g. accounting).

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights over your data:

Access and correct your data (mostly in the profile section of the app).
Delete your account and data.
Opt out of push notifications (from your device settings).
Withdraw consent by contacting us.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Alternatively, you can send a deletion request to salam@meydancaapp.az and we will process it within a reasonable time.

9. Children

Meydança is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Our service providers (e.g. Supabase) may host servers outside Azerbaijan. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you via the app or website. Please check the “Last updated” date above.
